Sr. QA Consultant

Requirement

Fouzia Enterprises is looking for a Sr. QA Consultant to ensure the quality of web, mobile and enterprise applications. In this role, you will combine manual and automated testing across client projects.

• Experience: 4–5 years in software testing / quality assurance
• Work mode: Hybrid, so you will split your time between our Hyderabad office and remote working
• Engagement: Initially contract to hire; after that, conversion to a full-time role is based on performance and project needs
• Joining: In addition, immediate joiners or candidates with up to 30 days’ notice are preferred

QA Consultant – Job Description

• Analyse requirements and prepare test plans, scenarios and test cases
• Perform functional, regression and integration testing, as well as system and UAT support testing
• Also design, develop and maintain automation test frameworks and scripts
• Carry out API testing and validate backend data
• Additionally, log, track and retest defects together with developers
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines so that every release is checked
• Moreover, prepare test reports and quality metrics for stakeholders
• Finally, contribute to improving QA processes and best practices

Core Skills Expected

Must have:

• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC and the defect life cycle
• Manual testing with solid test case design skills
• Test automation using Selenium WebDriver with Java or Python
• Frameworks such as TestNG / JUnit / PyTest, along with POM
• API testing, for example with Postman / Rest Assured
• Defect and test management tools, especially JIRA
• Also, basic SQL for data validation

Good to have:

• Cypress or Playwright
• In addition, BDD with Cucumber
• Performance testing with JMeter
• Mobile testing with Appium
• CI/CD integration, for example Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Furthermore, ISTQB certification

Professional Conduct & Work Ethics

• Punctual attendance on office days and availability during agreed hours on remote days
• An objective, detail-oriented approach, because quality issues must be reported clearly and without bias
• Constructive, respectful communication with developers when raising defects
• Ownership of test coverage and deadlines, as well as the quality of deliverables
• Confidentiality of client applications, test data and credentials
• Thorough documentation so that test results are easy to review
• Finally, keeping up to date with new testing tools and methods

Communication Expected

• Good spoken and written English for coordination with developers, project managers and clients
• Clear defect reports, for example steps to reproduce, expected vs actual results, and severity
• Tactful, fact-based communication; therefore, focus on the issue, not the person
• The ability to present test status and release readiness, especially to stakeholders
• Well-written test plans and test cases, as well as summary reports
• Moreover, proactive follow-up on open defects before releases
